Photoshop Tutorial Quest

I like how this image turned out a lot and think it looks a lot like a sketch, although that wasn’t really the complete tutorial. The tutorial I was following went beyond the steps that I completed, where it filled in the negative space with color to make it look more like a painting or a drawing. I didn’t really like how it turned out when I tried to follow the rest of the steps to color it, so I just chose to go back to the black and white image because I believed it looked better.

I liked how this image turned out at first and then looking back on it, I don't really like it that much. The tutorial itself was much simpler to follow than the pencil illustration above, though it had a lot more steps. This tutorial was supposed to look like a vintage photo and I think it sort of reflects that, but the image that was used in the tutorial was a picture of a family, and I think people as the subject would look better than my buildings. Over all, though this image looks fairly similar to the tutorial's finished image, and I think it came out pretty well, although like I said, looking back on it, it is kind of drab and ugly. This tutorial can be used for any image, as the two subjects weren't similar, but I think it would look better with people as the subject instead.
